Fresh Water

Heart Threads provided a deep water well and a latrine for a village called Dinajpur in Bangladesh.

Villagers either drank polluted water from a nearby river or had to walk a long distance to fetch and haul drinkable water.

Watch the joy on this man's face when he's able to pump fresh water for the first time!

HTI was notified last summer that the water supply at our orphanage was contaminated and was making the workers sick.  So, we had a deep water well (1000 ft) dug to bring fresh, potable water to our children and other locals.  Not only can they drink water that won't make them sick, but they also have fresh, clean water to bathe in.
